Martial Arts - Kung Fu Classes Martial Arts Program Little Dragons Ages 3 to 5 - Mondays and Wednesdays 5:55 - 6:25pm Our Little Dragons Program focuses on teaching Stranger awareness and how to react in stressful situations. We teach what to do not just against strangers but how to react to attacks form other children, both physical and verbal. Your Little Dragon will learn the basic blocks, punches, and kicks needed to advance through The Seven Star Martial Arts system. Please help your Child memorize their phone number, address, and make sure they know both parent’s full names (not just Mom and Dad). Cost - $85/month Beginners Age 6 and up - Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 - 7pm Learn the 7 virtues of Kung Fu in our school age and adult program. The Beginner class teaches basic Kung Fu material. Stranger awareness, rape prevention, confidence building, self control, and how to react to attacks from others (verbal and physical) are all part of the Seven Star Curriculum. Cost - $85/month Black Belt Club Age 6 and up - Mondays and Wednesdays 7:05 - 8:05pm OR Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:30 - 8:30pm For the serious student prepared to take the journey all the way to black belt. Instructor approval required for attendance. CLASS UPDATE INFO :Contact the Community Center at 238-0606 or email fbccc@austin.rr.com for date and time information. Information will be added to the FB MUD website as it is becomes available. We are always searching for new instructors and class ideas. Please send us an email with your suggestions. Book Exchange The Book Exchange at the Community Center is a big success. The exchange is simple - take home a book, read it and return it for a new selection. There are no check-out requirements or sign-in sheets to fill out. Please clean off your book shelves and bring your books to the community center to share with other residents. There are many titles to choose from and the neighborhood exchange is quicker than going to the library! Exciting News for Our Residents The Fern Bluff MUD Board of Directors approved dramatic rate reductions for our residents at the Fern Bluff Community Center! The new rates are effective immediately and make it more affordable than ever to use our center, rather than your home, for private events. Come use the space, with a kitchen available, for your baby showers, birthday parties, bridal showers, and family reunions. There are 3 rooms available which will accommodate a group as small as 25 people up to 275 guests. If you have a Mom's Club, Book Club, or any Club, come have an event at our center. Mark your calendars and please call the Community Center at 238-0606, or send an email to fbccc@austin.rr.com to check availability AND the new, lower rates. We are working hard to make the center meet your needs! Instructors Wanted The Community Center Subcommittee is looking for instructors to teach classes at the center. Dance teachers, karate instructors, CPR instructors, etc., all are WANTED! We are making plans for Spring/Summer 2010 and please ask about the special pricing offered for resident instructors. If you are a Math Tutor, Music teacher, Sewing Ace, please contact us by sending an email to fbccc@austin.rr.com. There are a lot of available weekday times, and holding classes right here in the district will save you travel time! If you are currently teaching at another location, please check our new lower rates for space. |

Community Center located at 7320 Wyoming Springs Drive is available for
receptions, club meetings, parties, and Association meetings for both
MUD residents and out-of-district Residents.
