Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District (BCMUD) will decommission a wastewater lift station located northeast of the intersection of Sutter Creek Trail and Hillside Drive. BCMUD has hired Patin Construction, LLC to complete the work, which is expected to start the week of August 19, 2024, and includes the installation of a gravity sewer line along Sutter Creek Trail and Hillside Drive, as generally shown on the map below. Once construction begins, work is projected to last approximately 3-4 months, weather permitting.
Work required for the project will partially block sections of Hillside Drive and Sutter Creek Trail. No portion of any road is expected to fully close during construction, but residents of Hillside Drive and Sutter Creek Trail and motorists who use these roads will be affected, as the roadways will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations in place during construction periods.
Once complete, this project will reduce the risk of sewage spills by eliminating the possibility of a mechanical failure of the lift station. Further, the transition to a gravity sewer line will eliminate the need to access and maintain the Hillside lift station, which is currently in the middle of a roadway.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve infrastructure in the area, and we will take all necessary steps to minimize disruptions throughout this project. Brushy Creek MUD will also coordinate the work and lane closures with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department, Sam Bass Fire Department, Round Rock ISD, and trash collection services.
