The Fern Bluff MUD parks and trails have been reopened and restrooms are unlocked. Cleanup in the parks is partially complete as we will continue high limb removal over the next several weeks. Please be aware of workers in the parks and respect any temporary barricades for your safety.
Due to the extreme amount of debris along the trails and within the greenbelts, cleanup is expected to take many months. Please be patient as our workers will be using heavy equipment and many areas are difficult to access. We all take such pride in our parks, trails and greenbelts and it is difficult for everyone to see the destruction. As a note, some trees have hidden broken branches so please be aware of your surroundings and use caution on windy days.
Central Texas Refuse (CTR) will continue to offer curbside pickup of 7 items, bags or bundles, with normal trash and recycling service each trash collection day. All limb and yard debris must be cut and bundled with string or rope, no longer than 4 feet, with limbs less than 4 inches in diameter. All bundles must weigh less than 40 lbs. View flyer The system isn’t perfect as there is an increased amount of limb and brush debris with limited trucks.
There will be a Spring Bulk Pickup on Saturday, March 18th. CTR will pick up cut and bundled debris on this day as well as other items left at the curb. View Flyer
The MUD office has received hundreds of emails and calls over the last several weeks with questions regarding debris. If you have not received a reply, please accept our apologies! We hope these email updates are providing the needed information.
The Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) has published a new website for Travis, Hays, Bastrop, Caldwell and Williamson counties. Residents that need help with cleanup may submit a request. ADRN is coordinating with volunteer teams from local churches to assist residents in these areas.
