Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park is located at 17813 Park Valley Drive, near the eastern entrance to both the Stone Canyon and Fern Bluff Neighborhoods in Round Rock, Texas. This memorial park was established to honor our Veterans of War.

Veterans Memorial Park was developed after (the late) Mr. Jim Cours, a veteran and resident of Stone Canyon, inquired about the feasibility of a memorial park for the neighborhood. With input from Retired Lt. Colonel and MUD Director Joe Teiber, the Fern Bluff MUD created this park on two acres of land that includes a Memorial Wall of Honor and a beautiful statue, the Battlefield Cross.

Outdoor activities offered at this park include a toddler playscape and train, swings, and a stone walkway. Adding to beauty of this park are the lush shade areas and beautiful landscaping. Recent landscaping additions include a wildflower program which offer stunning color in the springtime. Picnic tables and benches complete the park experience for visitors and the focus on the toddler play areas make this a truly special experience. A friendly reminder that ALL pets must be on a leash when in District parks, greenbelts, and trails.

The park is centered on a memorial surrounded by large American and Texas flags and includes flags from each branch of the military: Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard. Veterans Park reminds visitors of the importance of honoring those who serve our country. We pay tribute to those who have lived and died for our freedoms in the past and for those risking their lives for us now.
