The Fern Bluff MUD purchases our wholesale water from the City of Round Rock. Today, Friday, July 14th, the city has posted an alert asking all residents on the west side of IH-35 to conserve water due to a major water line break. This area includes the Fern Bluff MUD. Residents are asked to decrease overall usage by foregoing outdoor watering until repairs are completed, which is expected on Tuesday, July 18th.
The Fern Bluff MUD has also secured an alternate water source from our neighboring MUD in case of an emergency.
The break in the City of Round Rock 36” water line requires specialized third-party contractors and, again, will occur over the next several days. We ask all of the Fern Bluff MUD residents to do their part to conserve water by limiting outdoor water use through Tuesday, July 18th. We will send out email notifications and web site updates as the situation warrants.
