New Website, Drought Watch & Rebates

The Fern Bluff MUD has launched an update of its website as the previous platform was obsolete.  Please have a look www.fernbluffmud.org and especially check out the new and beautiful pictures as many were provided by current and former residents.  If you have suggestions or recommendations, please pass them on to janey.miller@fernbluffmud or as always, give us a call at 512-238-0606.

The Fern Bluff MUD purchases its wholesale water from the City of Round Rock and late last week we were notified of two important issues.

One –  The City of Round Rock is now purchasing raw water from the LCRA.  As such, MUD water customers qualify for LCRA WaterSmart Rebates on select items.  Example:  Rain sensors, pressure reducing valves, etc.

Two –  The Brazos River Authority notified us that they are implementing STAGE – 1 Drought Watch on the Lake Georgetown-Lake Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir System due to drier than normal conditions.  They are asking for voluntary water conservation measures to achieve a reduction of 5% water usage.  The Fern Bluff MUD follows the CoRR and BRA drought plans.  For information from the Brazos River Authority’s Plan please use this link:  https://brazos.org/About-Us/Water-Supply/Drought and go to pages 9 and 10 of the BRA Drought Plan.

Please contact the MUD office if you have any questions, 512-238-0606.
