Williamson County is asking for input:
Williamson County is looking for public input regarding the Wyoming Springs Intersection Improvements project. The project is being constructed to add a southbound turn lane from Wyoming Springs to Smyers Lane. This project will improve intersection traffic flow at both Smyers Lane and RM 620 by moving traffic from Smyers Lane out of the main traffic flow lanes. Construction of the improvements is anticipated to begin in early 2022.
This location does not currently have the traffic volumes to warrant a signal intersection, but due to recent safety concerns expressed about the intersection, a “hooded” left-turn lane is being considered to prevent traffic from Smyers Lane from crossing Wyoming Springs. The County would like your feedback regarding which of the two options is preferred.
Please visit the project webpage here to view the two options and to submit a comment via form or email at roads@wilco.org. The County is accepting feedback through December 8, 2021.
