Update from the Board of Directors Special Meeting on June 29, 2021

The Fern Bluff MUD Directors passed a Resolution to increase the Over-65 and/or Disabled Exemptions from $15,000 currently to $25,000.

After consulting with financial advisors, the board discussed a homestead exemption, a tax rate reduction, or a combination of both.   The budget committee’s initial analysis for the fiscal 2022 budget, shows a reduction of the MUD tax rate of $.279/100 to $.25/100 as the fairest and most financially advantageous choice for all of our residents.

Our district has the distinction as having the lowest MUD tax rate in all of Williamson County.   Our district is committed to responsible, conservative management of all operations and the taxpayer funds entrusted to it. The goals set by our board of directors years ago continue to benefit all of our residents and taxpayers.

Thank you to all of our great residents!  Please call the MUD General Manager, Janey Miller, if you have any questions, 512-238-0606.
