Curbside Bulk Trash Pickup
on Monday, April 18, 2016

The Fern Bluff MUD is partnering with Round Rock Refuse to provide a special day to remove all those unneeded items from our homes and garages.  Round Rock Refuse will be picking up bulk items, left at your curb, at our normal trash pickup times on Monday, April 18th.

APPROVED ITEMS include: furniture, washers, dryers, mattresses.  Also included are scrap metal, lumber, and appliances that DO NOT contain Freon, such as water heaters.  **Bulk items picked up during this event will not be recycled.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED for Curbside Bulk Pickup:  Hazardous Waste such as paints, solvents, stains, batteries, tires, antifreeze, TV’s, refrigerators and freezers, computers and monitors, or home pesticides or household chemicals.  Auto parts or any appliance with freon cannot be included in bulk pick up.  Additionally, tree limbs and brush piles will NOT be picked up.  Small amounts of yard debris, bagged or cut and bundled and tied into 3 ft. lengths will be picked up.

**Large amounts of yard and landscape materials should be taken to the landfill, removed by a contractor or residents should call Round Rock Refuse at 512-255-4980 for a special pick-up at an additional fee.

As you may know, The Fern Bluff MUD has joined with the City of Round Rock to make it easier and much more convenient for our residents to dispose of Hazardous Household Waste (HHW).   MUD residents are now allowed to dispose of their HHW at the city’s Deepwood drop-off facility on limited days.  Our normal monthly drop-off day is the 1st Wednesday of each month.

BUT, on Saturday, April 16th, the City of Round Rock is having a special spring clean-up and drop-off day, 8am to noon and Fern Bluff MUD residents may take part.  You will need to come by the MUD office and pick up an HHW voucher by Friday, April 15th at 5 pm.   The vouchers are free to our residents and allow you to take your hazardous waste to the Deepwood facility, located at 310 Deepwood Drive. If you would like to take your HHW to the Saturday drop-off, please be sure and come pick up your voucher at the community center, 7320 Wyoming Springs Dr. prior to April 15th.

***specific information on the HHW items allowed will be provided with the vouchers
