LOWER YOUR SEWER BILLS FOR NEXT YEAR!

Winter Water Averaging (Sewer Averaging) begins this weekend, November 14/15, 2020. The Fern Bluff MUD calculates your sewer bill (wastewater) based on the amount of water you use during three consecutive winter billing cycles. Winter sewer averaging occurs between mid-November and mid-February, which are your December, January and February water bills. Since water use during these months is generally only indoor use and not outside irrigation, it’s a good measure of the volume flowing into the sewer system. We recommend you turn off/greatly reduce your irrigation system during the averaging period.

You may lower your sewer costs for the upcoming year by conserving water during these billing periods. The MUD recommends: turn off irrigation systems, fix leaking faucets and toilets and check/repair pool auto-fills. Should the weather be abnormally dry, irrigating occasionally and lightly will protect your plants during the dormant season.

Save money all year by conserving water during the winter months.

Remember the dates: November 14/15, 2020 to February 13/14, 2021

****Good news for all Fern Bluff taxpayers and ratepayers! The district’s tax rate has been lowered by 30%, from $.40/100 value to $.279/100 value due to all district debt obligations being retired in 2020. Additionally, there will be no rate increases for 2020/2021 for water, sewer or garbage. All rates will remain the same as this year****
