Stage 2-B, Once-A-Week, Water Restrictions Now in Effect
On December 14, 2011 the Fern Bluff MUD Board of Directors voted to adopt the City of Round Rock’s Stage 2-B Water Restriction Level. Due to the continued drought and the falling lake levels and the fact that forecasters are not foreseeing significant rainfall this winter, it is critical that all users conserve water now to preserve supplies for next summer. All communities that depend on the Highland Lakes for their water source are asking everyone help to preserve limited water supply and adhere to all water conservation measures.
Additionally, the Fern Bluff MUD is currently in its waste water averaging period which will determine each customer’s waste water charges for next year. With most landscaping going dormant and with the recent rainfall and dropping temperatures, weekly watering is no longer necessary in most cases. Limiting your outdoor water use as well as conserving water within your home will dramatically decrease your waste water charges for the following year.
