Spring Bulk Pickup-Sat

SPRING 2019 BULK PICKUP On Saturday, MAY 4, 2019, starting at 7 am the Fern Bluff MUD will have its SPRING BULK PICKUP.  Round Rock Refuse, the MUD’s contractor for solid waste removal will collect trash and brush placed at the curb. Items must be placed on the curb NO LATER THAN MAY 4TH, at 7 a.m. Items placed after 7 a.m. will be the resident’s responsibility to dispose. When placing items, please do not block the sidewalk. Items may be placed in the street. If you encounter any pickup issues, please contact Central Texas Refuse at 512-255-4980. Items that can be discarded include:
  • Non-Freon appliances (washer, dryer, stove etc.) (Please provide 2 feet of side clearance for appliances)
  • Carpeting (must be less than 4’ long)
  • Furniture
  • Scrap metal (must be less than 4’ long)
  • Treated wood (fence materials)
  • Mattresses, box springs

Sewer Averaging Begins

The Fern Bluff MUD calculates your sewer bill (wastewater) based the amount of water you use during three consecutive winter billing cycles.  Winter wastewater averaging occurs between mid-November and mid-February which are your December, January and February water bills.  Since water use during these months is generally only indoor household use, it’s a good measure of the volume flowing into the wastewater system.  You can lower your sewer costs for the upcoming year by conserving water during these billing periods.  The MUD recommends that irrigation systems be turned off as watering plants during this dormant period is not necessary and will increase your sewer average.  Should the weather be abnormally dry, irrigating occasionally will protect your plants during the winter season....
